Kshitij Kumar

With over 20 years of experience, Kshitij Kumar joined Concurrent in 2010 after founding TellyTopia Inc., a visionary startup bringing online content to the Cable TV and Broadcasting industry. Mr. Kumar started TellyTopia from his garage and built a multinational team, product and business from the ground up. TellyTopia’s assets were acquired by Concurrent in 2010.
Prior to founding TellyTopia, Mr. Kumar had been leading the business development and technical marketing for access and transport products at C-COR. In his role, he was responsible for heading the product direction as well as evangelization in the industry. He joined C-COR with the acquisition of his previous startup – Lantern Communications – in 2004. Mr. Kumar had been a co-founder at Lantern Canada, running business development, system architecture and software delivery. He moved to Silicon Valley to enable its sale to C-COR. Mr. Kumar previously held management positions at Nortel’s Optical Packet Core (Terabit Router) in IP routing, MPLS software development. Before moving to Canada, he worked at C-DoT in India, developing digital switching systems.
Mr. Kumar is a frequent speaker at industry events, writes thought leadership articles and white papers for industry journals, and has actively participated with IEEE and MEF. Mr. Kumar holds a bachelor’s degree in computer technology from MANIT, India and a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Victoria, Canada.
