Vice President, Strategy and Planning, Verizon Consumer & Mass Business Markets
Eric J. Bruno is Vice President of Strategy and Planning for Verizon Consumer and Mass Business Markets. In this role, he is principally responsible for the development and execution of the FiOS consumer and small business growth strategy – as well as the implementation of key strategic initiatives, including the start-up of the recently announced Verizon-Redbox joint venture, Redbox Instant by Verizon.
Previously, Mr. Bruno served as Vice President of Product Management for Verizon FiOS. He oversaw new product development and product lifecycle management across both the consumer and small business segments. His key areas of responsibility included FiOS TV, Internet, and Digital Voice portfolio; Value-Added Services, Software as a Service (SAAS), and Connected Home services.
In a prior role, Mr. Bruno was responsible for Consumer Wireless and Wireline Data Product Management. In addition, he served as Vice President of Product Strategy, Planning and Partner Management for Verizon Communications, evaluating emerging technologies, and trends among users and adjacent industries, while managing relationships with strategic partners, to drive the creation of product roadmaps addressing all customer segments across all of Verizon’s diversified consumer, small business, and enterprise business groups.
In other assignments, Mr. Bruno served as Vice President of Market Intelligence and Alliance Management for Verizon Business. In this role he was responsible for market sizing, analysis, competitive intelligence, technology trend assessment, market research, and alliance management. He also served as Vice President of Product and Portfolio Management for Verizon Enterprise Solutions Group. His responsibilities included product and portfolio management, offer planning & development, lifecycle management, forecasting, and market program prioritization. Mr. Bruno also helped influence the entire portfolio of products & services for the Enterprise business and served as Vice President of IP Offer Management for Verizon.
Mr. Bruno has more than 20 years of experience in the communications and technology industry, with significant assignments in business market strategy, competitive planning and response, market management, large business sales and long distance.
Mr. Bruno received a Bachelor’s of Arts in Public Policy and Philosophy from Duke University.
